Moloff/Kasle Studio - Tucson, Arizona (2006)

Conversion of the 1935 McKenzie Furniture Warehouse into an artist's studio & residence. By removing a 20 ft. X 20 ft. portion of the roof of the loading dock, a courtyard was created. This provides a both private outdoor space, with light, air and security, and a required exit to the exterior from the sleeping area. The exterior wall was refinished with 1/8" thick steel panels that were alloweed to rust. The owners have a strong sense of aesthetics & color that is prevalent in the interior.
