Hotel del Convento - Tucson, Arizona (2007-2008)

Vint & Associates is currently designing a four-story 47,000 s.f. business-class hotel for the Gadsden Company, to be built on the north side of the future cultural plaza on the west side of the Santa Cruz River – a site to be served by the Modern Street Car after it crosses the Santa Cruz on the Cushing St. Bridge.

The design is organized around a central courtyard in the Mexican tradition. The architectural expression is intended to capture the regional character of Tucson’s historic buildings, as it will be built on the site of the earliest settlement of Tucson and will complement the environment of the Tucson Origins Heritage Park further to the south.
